Job analysis identifies the duties and human requirements for each of the company’s jobs. The next step is to decide how many of these jobs you need to fill, and to recruit and select employees for them.The best way to envision recruitment and selection is a series of hurdles.
Background Information:
Decide what positions to fill, through job analysis, personnel planning and forecasting.
Build a pool of candidates, by recruiting internal or external candidates.
Have candidates complete application forms and perhaps undergo initial screening interviews.
Use selection tools like tests, interviews, background investigations, and physical exams to identify viable candidates.
Decide to whom to make an offer.
Orient, train, and develop employees to provide them with the competences they need to do their jobs.
Appraise employees to assess how theyre doing.
Reward and compensate employees.
This assignment gives you the opportunity to walk through several of these steps so you may better comprehend the actual recruitment and selection process. All the while, you are aiming to select the best candidate for the job.

Instructions.
Review the work that you completed on the Comprehensive Recruitment Plan Presentation, parts a. c. in Workshop One, Assignment 1.5.
Review the requirements for Steps d. f. of the Comprehensive Recruitment Plan Presentation as outlined in Assignment 1.5. The current assignment add-on should include parts d. f. as outlined below.
Job Description. Create a one-page job description for this position using the Sample Job Description Template.
Advertising Open Position. Where/how will you advertise your vacancy? What will your job advertisement(s) look like and why? Include a copy or copies of the job advertisement.
Selection Process and Background Check. What type(s) of selection process(es) will you utilize and why? What would an ideal candidate’s resume/application contain? Will you do a background investigation on applicants to minimize concerns about negligent hiring? If so, what type(s)? If not, why not?
Submit your assignment as a three to four-page Word document by the end of Workshop Two.
