This project will be a proctored assignment. You will
identify a family social issue to research. You will write a 3-5 page APA paper
providing an overview of the identified family social issue and its impact on
families. Within the paper, you will outline possible effects of the social
issue on the families and possible coping strategies for children, their
families, and their teachers. You will identify community resources and family
education programs available to support families facing the identified issue. A
reference page is required. As a part of their Social Issues project, you will
create a PowerPoint presentation to present your social issues research. The
PowerPoint will include enough slides to give a full overview of your
identified issue, and coping strategies for children, families, and teachers.
It will also include an outline of community resources, family education, and
support programming available to families of the identified family social
issue. A reference slide is required.
