For this presentation, you will research the gender expectations for women during the Elizabethan Age. Examine how Much Ado About Nothing affirms or contradicts gender roles during this time period. Use the actions and perspectives of Hero and Beatrice to guide your thinking.
Your presentation should make extensive use of multimedia technology such as video, audio, or slideshow software. You will need to include a visual (like a slideshow) and a recording of your voice giving the presentation. For instance, you may create a slideshow using PowerPoint or a similar program and accompany your slideshow with an audio recording of you presenting the slideshow.
We recommend you use a recording program that creates an .mp3 or one that is integrated in the presentation program. Remember, your presentation should not be you simply reading the words on the slideshow but rather you expounding on the information presented on the slide.
Please be sure to submit your presentation in one of the following formats: .ppt, or .pptx (for a slideshow), .mp3 (for audio), or .mp4 (for video). If your instructors are unable to open your attachments, you will not be awarded credit and will be required to resubmit your assignment in a proper format.
Guidelines:
Create 10 or more slides with a title slide, conclusion slide, and Works Cited slide in MLA format with your references.
Use at least two credible, outside sources that define gender expectations during the Elizabethan Age.
Include direct quotes and examples from Much Ado About Nothing to support your analysis.
Include in-text citations in MLA format on slides with information from sources and/or direct quotes.
Consider formatting, font selection, graphics, and visuals in your presentation.
Include an audio presentation of your slideshow.
You do not need to do audio.
