Find your family healthcare provider or another insurance carrier’s healthcare organization (ex: Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Medicare, or United Healthcare). You may use the rating system noted below or use the healthcare organization or provider’s rating system.
Develop a 1-page executive summary with a 1-page action plan to address the following:
Identify and name an opportunity to improve the metric system (i.e., reduce preventable medical errors, fraud, and abuse).
Identify a linkage to an appropriate accrediting organization (i.e. Joint Commission) and research the applicable accrediting organization. Make note of the organization to that of your chosen health organization or provider
Form an action plan to discuss how you would improve the provider’s or healthcare organization metrics.
