The precise topic for my essay is to what extent was the NATO air campaign in Kosovo, Operation Allied Force, effective in ending the 1999 Kosovo War in relationship to other factors such as diplomacy and other military action.

The perspective that I want in my essay is: The NATO air campaign Operation Allied Force was eventually successful in accomplishing its goals and ending the Kosovo War, it was still hampered due to the practice of gradualism(the slow escalation in the use of airpower) as well as political restraints associated with the coalition nature of the NATO operation, in addition, other factors such as diplomacy and actions by the Kosovar Liberation Army(KLA) still played a role in ending the war.
