What is a “Good Society?”
What ideology most closely aligns with this society? How are ideals like freedom, equality, and order reconciled in the society?
What type of regime is present in this society? Remember that regimes are generally characterized as either democratic or non-democratic.
If democratic, which model of democracy is used?
If non-democratic, which model of authoritarianism is used?
What political economic system is present in this society?
What social, political, and economic outcomes would you like to see in this society?
The outcomes considered in the readings and assignments were wealth, inequality, poverty, standard of living, and happiness. Please feel free to include others that are important to you but were not included in the course.
Length and Formatting:
Please answer these questions in an essay that is approximately 5 pages long.
You do not have to respond to the questions in the order in which they are presented above, but you must answer all of them.
Please write your responses in a standard essay format. I am not concerned with the specific format you use – if you are familiar with MLA or APA, you may use either of those formats.
