The goal of this assignment is for you to examine the environmental impact of different kinds of diet. 1) Start by downloading the word document attached to this assignments box and reading through it very carefully. It is up to you to come up with the menu item for each diet as along as the follow the guidelines for each diet type. 2) Then download the Excel document. Here you can type in your information, and excel will make the calculations for you. Notice that there are different tabs at the bottom of the excel document, one for each type of diet and a summary page. 3) Fill out the excel file fully AND answer the 2 big questions at the bottom of the word document. When you’ve fully completed all parts of this lab, upload the completed excel document and your word file back to this assignments box.
Note 1: In light of COVID-19, please be aware that you do not have to actually go to the grocery store to complete this lab. You can “shop” online to complete this.
Note 2: For the optional USDA Nutritional Data Food List link, just type the food you’re looking for into the search box at the top of the page. It will bring up a list of options based on the word(s) you searched with. Just select the option that you think best fits the diet/menu that you are working on to bring up the nutritional information.
