What types of defense mechanisms did you experience trying to justify why you felt the way you did?

I would like you to watch the 5 videos showing you different types of people that often face discrimination in America. Like the TV show “What would you do?”, write a 2 page double spaced reflection paper discussing what you think you would do if you witnessed these situations? As you now know by reading the textbook, there is really no way to know how we will actually act in these situations, but I want you to think for a minute and discuss:
1. Which of these situations made you the most uncomfortable?
2. Which of these situations would make you frustrated or angry?
3. What types of defense mechanisms did you experience trying to justify why you felt the way you did? Did you find yourself defending your feelings or answers?
4. According to your book and your own opinion, What so you think it feels like and does to a person to hear these kinds of comments, and see the non verbal behaviors day in and out in their daily lives?
