After reading chapter 13 in your text and reviewing the supplemental resources in this weeks module, explain how culture, the media or technology influences attitudes toward intimacy in relationships?
For example consider the media messages we receive continuously, what types of images and stereotypes are there of men, women and how are romantic relationships displayed. Consider how these messages might influence our own understanding and expectations of what a romantic relationship should “look like”. You may also examine this from a cultural perspective, what types of messages, values and beliefs we receive from our families, communities, religious institutions or society at large dictate what it means to be a daughter, a son, a best friend, etc.
