You will need to compare and contrast “the Enuma Elish” with “The Mythology of Greece and Rome” by Artur Fairbacks available free through Google books.
Using the myths above from a different civilization. In 1,750 words compare and contrast this myth with the Greek myths. What type of myth is it? A divine myth? A legend? A folktale? Does this myth remind you of any Greek myths or Greek mythological figures? Finally, what does this myth reveal about the culture that it’s from? What does this culture seem to value? Does it explain the origins of something dear to the society that it comes from?
Campbell’s monomyth and the folktale motifs may help you break down these myths (if you’re dealing with a legend).
If you chose to summarize the myth, keep the summary very brief, no more than a paragraph. The majority of this essay should be an analysis.
