I am a Filipino international student trying to apply for a scholarship in a college in Canada. I got admitted to study Health Information Management starting this January 2022 intake. The application includes a 300-word essay focusing on the below question:

Why do you think you deserve to
receive the Regional Academic Excellence Entrance Scholarship and how do you
plan to contribute to the student life at the college if you are successful?

Here are some key facts:
1. I am 33 years old with overseas work exposure in Saudi Arabia. My current workplace is multicultural.
2. I am a nurse by profession
3. I was originally hired as a Medical Insurance Coordinator, got a promotion after a year, and am currently working as the Executive Secretary of the company’s Vice President of the company.
4. Before working overseas, I was a Customer Service Representative where I was awarded Agent of the Year. I was also part of Quality Apprentice and Inventory Teams.
5. I was also a nurse-volunteer in a district hospital way back in 2008 (6 months).
6. I am a hard worker, I always make sure that I put my best foot forward and I am better than most.
