Assignment #3: Critical Reading Assessment of one course reading in relation to a
course video. (instructions are below) Due: August 3 before 3pm 20%
One and half pages Single Spaced, article and video/film cited at bottom of second page.

You are asked to think critically and assess one reading in relation to one
screening for a specific week’s theme in the course.
(course reading and visual material are to be assessed together)

Begin with a clearly articulated argument which critically analyzes one-two key
points raised in the assigned reading and link one of these points to a critical
discussion of the specific video or film.
No additional course reading, or material outside of course are to be used in this CRA paper.
Ask yourself a series of questions to get you started:
-What connection(s) can you make between the reading and screening on the
week’s theme?
-What issues or concerns are being discussed or evaluated by the author of a reading that
