With reference to the publication design sample that is provided below, answer each of the below questions with a paragraph of 200–250 words (i.e. 5 paragraphs of 200–250 words each for a total of 1,000–1,250 words). Type your each of your answers directly below each of the questions. Write full sentences (not incomplete sentences or bullet points), be concise and focus on design. Strong assignments will provide insightful analyses that are informed by historical research and refer to, for example, the design sample’s use of colour; typography; style, content, quantity, placement and size of artwork (e.g. illustrations, photographs); page layout; size of page; proportions of text area/margins and so on.
Reflect on the course content that we have read/watched/browsed/discussed and undertake additional research in order to answer the questions. Provide a bibliography of all your sources. Cite them in the reference style of your choice (e.g. Chicago, MLA, etc.). The foundation of your research should be scholarly sources, but you are encouraged to judiciously use popular and industry sources as well. The bibliography must include the sources you have researched as well as any sources you have used from the course Syllabus. Strong assignments will likely be informed by 6–8 research sources in addition to relevant sources taken from the Syllabus.
