Then read the articles attached and answer the following 2 prompts SEPERATELY.

1)
In the interest of getting along better with the client, would it be okay to wait a couple of sessions or so to inform Mrs. Havolec that you are a student? What ethical value supports your answer?
What would you do if Mrs. Havolec demanded (after spending 15 minutes with you) to be transferred to another worker? What statement or comment (give only one) could you pose to get Mrs. Havolec to reconsider?
Would you feel comfortable asking her to give you a fair chance – to wait at least another 45 minutes or so before deciding she had to have another worker? Discuss your rationale for your answer.

Discuss the skills and techniques from the chapter readings and articles, that you would most likely feel most comfortable using to address working with a reluctant client.
Read the Case Example from this week’s reading and answer the following question:
Using the NASW Core Values and the textbook, write down 3-5 questions could you ask this student regarding their stated bias, to help them gain better self-awareness and an improved culturally competent approach?
