Concussions in Sports–Methods Draft

The Methods Draft must meet the following standard:

3 pages minimum double spaced
Times New Roman 12 pt font
1” margins.
Include the following information in three main section:

Information about the subjects including: why they were selected, what inclusion/exclusion criteria was used, age range, gender, and any other demographic information that may be relevant to the study.
Information about the survey including: formation of the constructs and individual questions, how it was delivered to the participants, when, time frame to be completed and mode delivered (Online, face to face, etc).
Information about the Expected Analysis including: what analysis system used (You likely will not know which types of analysis you will run, so simply SPSS will suffice for the draft unless you know.) For the final submission you will also include the types of analysis run for each question and what data or outcomes you expect to compare.

-Survey questions & intro draft will be attached to use as a guide. Age range is 18+, survey questions are to be delievered via email, and this was done throughout the past couple weeks. Please let me know if there is any more information you need

here is professor criticism for the survey questions :
“1) Age group can not be younger than 18 as participants can’t legally consent below 18.
2) Add more sports to favorite sport list???
3) Remove open ended question. Maybe if they have played collegiate or higher level sport?
4) Fix placement of agree/strongly agree. Strongly agree should be #1 in all the questions.
5) Question on sport meaningful (#15) has a flipped scale, please keep consistent.
6) Construct 3 needs to move to a five point scale like the other constructs. Consider moving to “I” statements: “I often experience an injury”, ” I often stay away from sports,” “
