This week our focus is on the relationship of salvation to sanctification. How do you understand the relationship of salvation to sanctification? First, discuss the status of the believer in terms of “objective” sanctification in justification; what has happened to the believer in justification and what kind of holiness does the believer possess. Second, discuss the task of the believer in terms of “subjective” sanctification, or what happens in the believer’s experience. What kind of holiness is demanded of the believer. Third, discuss how objective sanctification and subjective sanctification are related. Does one depend on the other? How?
