Respond to the following prompt(s) for this Discussion assignment:
Chose a work of art from the textbook (do not use art from chapters 1 and 2) that you really like and admire. The work can be any medium ( Medium and Media refer to what it is made with). Do not share any information concerning the title, artist, or where the work is located in the text. You can share where the painting is hanging (name the museum).
Instead, write a description of this artwork as your first posting to this forum. Think about all the visual language terms you have learned in this module as you describe the work as if you are explaining it to someone who cannot see. Refer to the subject matter, content, and form as often as you can. form refers to the media ( listed in the credits under the photo ) and process ( you can look up how a painting or sculpture or architecture is made) . Try to be creative as you mention the colors, details, and feelings that are involved in the work. Next, give your post a title that does not give the work away but provides a “hint.”
