Sociological Imagination- Google Discussion Post
As a sociologist, you must be aware of current social issues and possess the ability to analyze them with a sociological imagination. In this class you will regularly do so by logging in to Google News. For each module you are to post one discussion on an article related to the module curriculum and learning objectives noted above. Please follow this criteria:
To earn credit your post must focus on how sociologists would analyze the current event through concepts found in the learning objectives, text chapter, and other module learning materials.
The heading of your original post is to be the title of the article you read.
The content of your post will be two full paragraphs (7-9 sentences each).
The first paragraph will summarize and explain the content of the article.
The second paragraph requires you to apply your sociological imagination by addressing the article’s content through the module’s learning objectives, concepts, and themes to provide an articulately reasoned argument as to why this article is sociologically important.
