Final Project – APA Research Paper
Projects: Each student will be assigned a project topic to research to prepare a project paper. Papers must be submitted to the Moodle Turnitin drop box titled Papers. You cannot pass this course without completing your assigned paper successfully.
1-Must be typed and be 12-15 pages of text, plus a title page and reference page. Use APA (American Psychological Association) writing style. Points are deducted for less than the minimum requirement full pages of text.
2-Grammar and spelling, etc., counts!
3-Text should be double-spaced, prepared in Arial (not Arial Bold) or Times New Roman 12 point font.
4-Your references must include a combination of reliable internet sites, periodicals and bound sources (books, texts, etc.), not all online sources.
5-A brief conclusion is required. Your opinions are welcome.
6-The majority of your paper must be original work.
7-If your topic involves an interview or a tour, etc., supplement it with sources as described above. Wikipedia is not a reliable source.
8-You are not required to prepare an abstract. You may use headings.
9-A PowerPoint tutorial is available on Moodle and adds detail and instructions. Be sure to view it also.
10-This project accounts for 100 points of your total course grade. It must be submitted on time or 10 points per day will be deducted (including weekends and holidays). Papers are due according to the schedule and must be received by the end of the course or an F will be recorded for the course.
