You are the lead administrator of the National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX) at the testing site. The NCLEX assesses the preparedness of the candidate to practice as an entry-level nurse.
The exam information explicitly states that candidates should arrive at least 30 minutes prior to
the start of the exam, or they may be required to forfeit their NCLEX appointment and will be
required to reregister and pay another exam fee (Exam Day, 2020). Candidates have up to 4
hours to complete the exam; this includes the short tutorial and 2 optional breaks (Exam Day, 2020),
On the day of the NCLEX, Rico, Tatalia, and Celine arrived 35 minutes, 38 minutes, and 40 minutes late, respectively, after the NCLEX began. They each had a reason as to why they
were late. Rico said he thought the exam was on the following day and when he looked at the exam information, he realized it was on the current day, so he hastened to get to the exam venue as soon as possible. Tammy said she got lost in her attempt to find the venue and it caused her to be late. Celine said she had been in the hospital emergency room until 4:00 a.m. that morning and overslept which caused her to be late. The staff that administers the exam refused to let
the late candidates enter the exam room. All three asked to speak to you to plead their
case. As the exam administrator, what is your response? What do you do? Find academic sources of your choice to support your response and provide in-text citations and full references. Use the APA 7th Edition writing format.Your response of at a minimum of 150 words.
