Write a blog about an ethical dilemma you’ve faced in the last week.

I’m not sure if this is allowed on this site but I am out of options, I have 26 assignments I have to complete by Sunday night and I’m at the hospital with my daughter so it’s hard to get everything done. I’ve pasted the links to the articles and powerpoints to write the blogs.

Read “What Is Ethics?” (at the top of the article) http://www.bbc.co.uk/ethics/introduction/intro_1.shtml#h1
Blog one – Write a 125-word blog on what you think ethics are? Give some examples and why you think ethics are important. How do ethics affect your everyday life?

Blog Two – Write a blog about an ethical dilemma you’ve faced in the last week. It doesn’t have to be major. It can be as simple as the choice to let someone in traffic or park in a VISITOR parking spot instead of walking the extra 100 yards from the student parking lot.

Blog Three – Write a 125-word blog about what you think it means when we say the words “should” and “ought” in the context of this class (see slides #3-4). How does that differ from the way things really are? If ethics is examining the way things “should” or “ought” to be, how can you apply those concepts to your daily life?

Read 25 Weird Things Humans Do Every Day, and Why

Blog Four – Write 150 words about how many of those 25 Weird Things Humans Do Every Day, and Why are possibly unethical? Does it surprise you that people are so shady? Was there anything in the article that surprised you on the other side? Are people kinder than you thought? Were there tendencies in human nature that were softer than you expected?

Read “What Use is Ethics” (a little further down)

Blog Five – Write a 125-word blog response to the reading “What Use is Ethics.” Does this article reinforce what we think in life? How can ethical arguments be beneficial to you? How can ethics benefit your daily life?

Read “Where Does Ethics Come From” (scroll on down a little to find the subheading)

Blog Six – Write a 150-word blog discussing what you think the strongest source is for YOUR personal code of ethics is. Is it human nature, God and religion, science, politics, or the environment? (We will discuss these in class) Why/how have those things shaped your ethical ideas and do you think your ethics and morality need to be examined?
