Learners will prepare a professional policy literature review. Select a federal, state, or local policy that piques your interest and impacts a vulnerable portion of our population. The paper should be a maximum of 5-8 pages, not including the title page, abstract, and references. The paper should contain headings for the following sections: Title Page, Abstract, Literature Review, Problems, Successes, Recommendations, Conclusion, and References prepared in APA style. You should familiarize yourself with several of the policies in your area of interest and choose one suitable for this assignment. Your policy analysis must be on the policy in the current form and/or the most recent version of the policy. Papers outlining a version of a policy that is not the most current will earn a failing grade. Note: If you choose a complex policy (i.e., Medicaid, Social Security, environmental policy), you may want to select a section of the policy to concentrate on in your analysis since you will be conducting BRIEF policy analysis. For example, if you were examining Medicaid in Georgia, you would choose one section of the policy for your analysis. Below is the outline to follow.
