Assignment 11-1: Create a Current Medications Query and Subreport

1. Copy file and paste as save as new version. Open this version
2. Go to Medications table and we will save it as a query.
3. Go to Create, Query Design.
4. Click Medications and close the box. Click the top data field, hold down the shift key and click on the last data field.
5. Drag and drop all the data fields to the table at the bottom.
6. We want to select all the medications that are current; who’s stop date hasn’t arrived yet so we want to go to the Stop Date field and in the Criteria field type >now and enter.
7. This will select all Stop Dates that are greater than today.
8. Go to Datasheet view and all the stop dates should be greater than today’s date.
9. Save Query as Current Medications Query. It will add it to your queries.
10. Go to Medications Subreport, right click, copy, then paste. It will give you a box, rename as Current Medications Subreport, click OK.
11. Close that and open Current Medications Subreport. You will note all meds are listed.
12. Go to Design View and Properties. Go to Record Source, click the pull down, and select Current Medications Query. Close the Properties.
13. Look at your Report View and you will see a Current Medications Subreport.
Assignment 11-2: Create a Current Medication Report

1. Copy file and paste as save as new version. Open this version.
2. Open PHR Summary Report. We are going to delete all subreports off and add the Current Medication Subreport.
3. Copy and paste PHR Summary Report and rename as Current Medications Summary Report.
4. Close that and open Current Medications Summary Report and go to Design View.
5. Click each subreport on the gold bar and delete each subreport.
6. Now drag Current Medications Subreport onto the Current Medications Summary Report. Align the form.
7. Go to the top label and rename as Current Medications Report. Go to Report View. All medications are listed. We need to link this subreport to main report.
8. Highlight subreport. Go to Properties List. Match Master and Child fields to Patient ID to Patient ID.
9. Go to Report View and it should be correct. Save.
