However, I still expect (1) organized, prose writing and proper grammar, and (2) a thesis — every writing assignment you do should always be guided by a thesis.
Prompt:
If democracy is based on popular sovereignty, or “rule of the people,” discuss 3 things that you might expect from a democratic government AND tell me why we should expect those things in a democratic government. Don’t worry about what the book, or the lectures, or any outside source says, but rather, sit down and really think about what you think a government that is supposed to be ruled by the people should look like. As you reflect on this, don’t forget what government is supposed to do and the reason for its existence.
