Juvenile Offenders

Juvenile Offenders

(CC3, CC4): During week four of this course, we discussed the offenses for which juveniles are most frequently charged, while also briefly defining criminal behavior and juvenile delinquency.
For this week’s assignment, you will further examine the juvenile justice theory and case law history. More specifically, you will review one landmark U.S. Supreme Court case pertaining to the rights and protections of juveniles. In reviewing this information and summarizing the case and outcomes, you will be sure to address juvenile comprehension of constitutional rights as well as describe rehabilitative options available for juveniles.
Make sure you address each of the following in your paper:
Identify a landmark case
Summarize the case and case outcomes
Describe any assessment tools or assessments that were used in the case
Address juvenile comprehension of constitutional rights
Describe rehabilitative options available for juveniles
