Love and sex

This is our final assignment! It is going to be a “position paper” on any topic related to love and sex. I included some topic ideas and links below. This is NOTa research paper- I do NOT want you looking up a ton of ideas and using several sources- but use one website that already has the pros/cons listed – or just use the link I have given below if you want to write on that topic. The topics (with links) below are just ideas and suggestions- if there is another topic related to this class you are welcome to use it.The essay should be about 4-5 pages long- double spaced, normal font. You only have to list the hyperlink of the one site you use to get your pros/cons at the end of the essay- I do not care about references or style. I will be grading on the content. See the outline for the paper below. Please email me if you have any questions!
DIRECTIONS:
1. Pick a topic- browse the list below or pick another topic of your choosing. It should be controversial or something that has multiple pro/con arguments. If you want to pick on something that is not listed below, please email me so I can help you find a resource/website to use.
2. Find a list of pro/con arguments (see the links I give below). You can use these websites I have already provided. You do not need to do any additional research.
3. In 1-2 pages describe the arguments for or against the issue using a website provided below- or another one you may find another site. (rely on one pro/con webpage to give you ideas- you just need to provide the reasons for or against and briefly describe them).
4. In 1-2 pages analyze the topic from an ethical points of view using the ethical frameworks or topics I reviewed in last lecture for Thursday 6/18 and listed in the file I uploaded for 6/17 (frameworks include human rights, virtue ethics, utilitarianism, Mills principle of harm, Kant/deontology, moral relativism, cultural relativism, natural law, social contract theory, Desire Satisfaction theory, feminist ethics, ethics of care, ethical egoism, hedonism, etc).
5. In 1 page- explain YOUR position. What you think about the issue? Using the reasons outlined in step 3 above and using the ethical frameworks you already explained in part 4 above, explain YOUR position. Where do you stand on the issue and what do you find to be the most convincing arguments that support your view?
