What kinds of crime might routine activities best explain, and are there any categories/types of crime that you think it would explain poorly?

Routine Activities Theory is among the most important ideas within the broader sphere of what is known as environmental criminology, which in turn attempts to explain crime by looking at the circumstances that surround it. I want you to discuss routine activities theory here.
Some of the dimensions of it that you might start with include the ways in which it is different from some of the more sociological theories about crime that you may be more familiar with (such as strain theory, deterrence theory, labeling theory, etc.) Is there anything about Routine Activities that appeals to you more? Do you think it’s less useful than other theories? Why?
What kinds of crime might routine activities best explain, and are there any categories/types of crime that you think it would explain poorly? Would you argue in favor of this theory or does it lead us down the wrong path? Discuss.
Please use citations from the article. No in conclusion paragraph needed/summary of what you wrote is not needed.
