The two (2) Week Three assignments are intended to be associated with each other. For example, the five health indicators in the Week Three Morbidity and Mortality assignment need to be related to the health indicator chosen for the Week Three Public Health Program Planning assignment.
This means that if a student chose the health indicator of tobacco use for the Week Three Public Health Program Planning assignment, the related health indicators to tobacco use can be used in the graph in the Week Three Morbidity and Mortality assignment, (i.e. heart disease, lung cancer, etc.). In this way, there needs to be a brief rationale for the association (i.e., tobacco use increases the risk of heart disease). The gap in the programming relates to, for example, are there enough smoking bans, smoking cessation programs, etc. in the state.
This assignment includes:
Develop a graphical representation showing the indicators of morbidity and mortality for the leading health indicator you selected for this week’s Public Health Program Planning assignment.
List a minimum of five indicators, and provide a rationale for each.
Cite any gaps in programs to address the indicators.
Format your assignment as one of the following:
