NOTE: A substantive post, answering the question or responding to peers, includes fully developed paragraphs (with at least three sentences), grammar, spelling, and punctuation as a scholar (I find drafting my post in Word allows me to use those resources, then copying and pasting onto Blackboard Discussion Forum), and formal, scholarly language so: students or children, not kids, mother or father not mom or dad, cannot not can’t or other contractions, etc. A substantive post always includes a scholarly source so add a reference and at least one matching in text citation like (Ellefsen, 2015) (Author, year).
