For the Capstone Project, you will select a business case and explore and analyze it thoroughly in a strategic business plan using the criteria listed below.
The Capstone Project is your final assignment for this course. This project is used to indicate your ability to think across all fields and integrate the knowledge you have gained during the BABA program. You are expected to thoroughly cover the material in a way that exhibits a level of knowledge commensurate with a graduating Bachelors Level Student. This includes in-text citations, references and complete analysis that shows all your work. Financial analysis of your case is mandatory.
All papers are to be presented in 12pt type with 1.5 line spacing. Make sure you have a header with your name and student ID # and a footer indicating pagination. There is no minimum or maximum paper length but an average would be between 20 and 35 pages in length, with 30 not being unreasonable to adequately analyze the assigned case if appendices are included.
Your project should follow the structure outlined below.

Ultimate Question
Final Recommendations. (This can’t be completed until all analysis has been completed. You will put your final summary so to speak here. This is the conclusion to your paper.) (Think: I have answered the ultimate question)
Section 2
Intended Strategy
Type of case, e.g. management, marketing, finance, etc. and WHY
Who are you relative to solving the case
Timeframe for achieving an outcome, and WHY
ALL possible Realized Strategies. (Remember cause and effect. If I do ‘x’ then all these options are possible outcomes.)
Section 3
List the affected stakeholders, how and why for each
Discussion of the company’s corporate culture
Discussion of the company’s leadership
Section 4
List of the different TOOLS utilized in your analysis and WHY each was chosen. (E.g. SWOT, 5-forces, NPV, ratio etc.) Please remember that some type of financial analysis is absolutely necessary in ALL cases.
List of all possible barriers to completing an adequate analysis
Section 5
This is the actual analysis section of the project. If you say you will do a SWOT, then the actual SWOT appears here. All financial analysis work will appear here. This should be a rather lengthy section of your case. There doesn’t need to be any narrative in this section, just your actual analysis, nicely presented of course.
Section 6
Findings and interpretation of your analysis
Wrap-up with plans for implementation, timetables (if applicable), plans for further actions. (Remember: your final recommendations that come from this discussion will appear in Section 1)
