The Madonna of the early 1980’s was playful, innocent and provocative in her fashion statements. But as the 80’s were coming to a close, Madonna was finding her voice and it would incite an uproar. Her image was that of a blatant sexual being that was not only in control of her sexuality but proud of it. In her lyrics and music how was this being reflected? What was she stating in her music? Find at least three different pieces of music and analyze the sexual ideal she was attempting to normalize. You will use sources and quote to support analysis.
