For this discussion we will be discussing various health care providers. For this discussion you will need to find sources (from reputable sources) to complete the assignment.
Initial Post
For your initial post, you are to pick a non-physician healthcare provider from Houston, Texas (who provides clinical care) of any level that interests you (ranging from Certified Nursing Assistant, Physician Assistant, Occupational Therapist, Emergency Medical Technician, etc). Provide a short description of what they do, where they tend to work, where they fit in the healthcare system, the history of that profession, and their current salary and projected employment trends (hint: it might help to check out the Bureau of Labor Statistics). Provide your thoughts on the future need for this profession. You must provide sources (from a reputable source) to support your facts and arguments.

• Timeliness: The earlier you respond, the earlier that your post becomes available for
discussion response. I would like to see every discussion post get at least one response
from a class mate, but this may be difficult if you wait till the last minute. Please note that
you will not be able to see posts of others until you post. The goal of this forum is to offer
a safe place for research ideas and to have a dynamic discussion.
