A brief description of three important Third century mathematicians and their works .
A discussion of three different types of problems that were discussed in the works described above. This should include a statement of the problems and a complete solution of this problem using the methods that the authors describe. Also include how the problem would be phrased in modern terminology and how we would solve this problem with modern techniques.
A discussion of why the advancements in mathematics were relevant to the culture. How and in what way do the advancements of this period have bearing on today’s mathematics? If they do not, explain why.
