Part 1. Analysis of your Personal Assessment Summary Table (PAST) results (700 words)
Critically analyse the results you obtained through the different assessment instruments used in seminars (outlined below). This includes synthesizing and comparing results across all the different instruments to:
• highlight common points of similarity
• critically analyse what these similarities mean for you in terms of your suitability for potential future employment/career options
• highlight and analyse any contradictory results between the different instruments
• discuss possible explanations for such variance between instruments
Part 2. An overall summary of employment interest/suitability (800 words)
a) Based on your analysis of the data in your PAST, identify a realistic career/job that you are most suited to/interested in.
Remember for the purposes of this assignment you need to choose something other than registration as a psychologist. It also needs to be
a “realistic” choice i.e. attainable with a three or four year psychology degree and possibly some additional related study.
Provide a general description of what the career/job entails and specifically provide a concise, referenced summary of the skills, values and personal characteristics/attributes you require, to obtain a position within this chosen field.
b) Provide a justification for your choice based on the information in your Personal Assessment Summary Table (PAST). Ensure you include how the information in your PAST compares to the overall description and requirements of the career/job you have chosen. In addition, be sure to include a specific comparison to the skills, values and personal characteristics/attributes required to obtain a position within your chosen field.
