Explain the differences between an Emergency Operations Plan (EOP), a Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP), and a Business Continuity Plan (BCP).

It is important that an emergency manager understand the difference between plans. You will be asked to develop each of these plans if you become an emergency manager.

The purpose of an EOP, COOP, BCP and how they meet the different needs of an organization.
The difference between government plans (EOP/COOP) and business continuity planning.
The purpose of the Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and how it drives business planning.
The difference between service-driven planning (BCP) and operations-driven planning (EOP) and how the planning perspective changes in these planning methodologies.
The reasonings that go into selecting and not selecting particular plans.
How and why these plans can enhance integrity and social responsibility to meet the needs of key populations within an organization.
