Your report must include:
Abstract – Write a summary of the report including context, perspectives, and findings (not counted towards word limit). This is the last section written for your document.
Introduction – Provide context and background. Make the ‘purpose’ of your report clear.
Analysis – Research relevant literature to discuss the key trends, themes, ideas, and/or perspectives relevant to the what/how/why/who. Synthesise your research by comparing and contrasting, critiquing, and/or evaluating the resources found. The reasoned and evidenced argument for your research perspective. Your resources should be a combination of:
Primary resources: First-hand reports of original studies, mainly found in academic journal articles, government reports, interviews, etc.; and,
Secondary resources: Critical evaluations and syntheses of original studies such as newspaper articles and journal articles critiquing the primary research.
Conclusion – Summarise key findings and closeout your purpose.
Recommendations – What should the innovators and creators do to balance the three?
Reference List – An extensive list of references from relevant authors. Note: Do not reference the course slides. Always refer to the original information resource.
