Discussion Question – Human Resources
Human resources management has been defined as ‘the science and the practice that deals with the nature of the employment relationship and all of the decisions, actions, and issues that relate to that relationship. The most challenging area is the relationship between management and employees.
In this discussion question, you will apply theory from your past courses in human resources:
Describe your opinion on current union memberships in various industries. Share your thoughts on if there are recent increases or decreases in memberships. Give three (3) examples related to your response of increased or decreased.
In your response, share a recent example from a current organization.
Support your response with your current knowledge of labor relations from your past BAS course in human resources.
Provide your knowledge of human resources and state if you are ‘anti-union’ or ‘pro-union’ in your industry. Support your opinion with three (3) factors in your response and include details.

Provide one (1) peer response and detail your human resources opinion on your peer’s thoughts on their union stance. Explain why you agree or disagree with their position. Support your position.
