There are 3 options that you may choose from:
Choose a technical aspect (i.e.: SPFX, acting, sound, lighting, etc.) and describe how it has evolved and how that evolution has affected Motion Picture Filmmaking. The following questions are food for thought and not meant to be answered verbatim. Present your information as a timeline of events that changed how things were done. How did a particular technology or technique shape and influence motion pictures over the course of Film History? How did the subject you chose, change how things were done behind the camera, and/or how audiences viewed it up on the screen? Did it affect the audience’s experience in any way? What were the pinnacle movies or moments that changed the game?
Trace the evolution of a specific film genre. For example the evolution of Martial Arts films, Animation, Westerns, Horror, or any other genre in which you are interested. How did the genre change and evolve over time from its introduction to the present day? Take into consideration socio-political influences and technological innovations.
Off the beaten path. If there is a topic in which you are interested and don’t see it listed, please run it past me for approval. Some topics that are off the beaten path but have been done are, for example, the evolution of censorship, the evolution of the movie theater, the evolution of opening title sequences, etc.
