You are required to write a ten-page paper on any topic concerning Cyber Crime Detection contained in your textbook. You will be graded on a 0-100 points system and will singly count as your grade for the course.
Your paper MUST be ten (10) FULL pages. This means that the tenth page cannot be half a page or three-quarters of a page, it must be a full page.
You MUST include a Cover Sheet and a Reference Source Page. These pages DO NOT count as the ten-page requirement. (This means that your completed paper will be at least 12 pages.)
You will be required to utilize the APA format.
Your paper will be in 12-inch font, space and a half, one inch margins.
You MUST include at least three legitimate outside sources. The library contains a database that can be used if you choose, which only requires information from your student ID Card to access.
You will be graded on content and the mechanics of your writing (spelling, grammar, punctuation, correct APA format, etc.) The Writing Lab contains a Virtual Writing Lab that can be accessed from your computer which provides a wealth of information on proper writing and APA format.
Some points to keep in mind about this type of paper:
Develop a workable theme or point to your paper. If you have a good theme, you should be able to thoroughly discuss your point of view. For example, if your theme is, “Should the Miranda vs Arizona decision be reversed!” then your supporting data should reflect the same or disprove the claim.
You must gather evidence to support your opinions regardless. Keep in mind that the evidence (or secondary sources) should enhance your point of view but should not overshadow your own opinion in the paper. Your evidence should be relevant to your topic, representative (it should represent the full range of opinions about your subject), and sufficient (you should have enough evidence to support your claims).
You will need an introduction, a body, and a conclusion. Your introduction will introduce the issue and state your point of view. The body will offer evidence to support your theme or opinion. And the conclusion will sum up your position with a forceful closing statement.
