. Think about the people on the bus, Rye’s interaction with her neighbor, Rye’s interaction with Obsidian, etc. Do we see any patterns in these interactions?

As we explore literature this semester, we are operating under the premise that literature tells us something about human nature. It allows us to explore aspects of human nature through other characters. When we talk about human nature, we are thinking about the ways that humans interact with each other and the world around them. When thinking about “Speech Sounds,” I want you to consider the ways that the characters interact with each other. Think about the people on the bus, Rye’s interaction with her neighbor, Rye’s interaction with Obsidian, etc. Do we see any patterns in these interactions? What do those patterns tell us about human nature? I would also like for you to think about the ending of the story. How does the ending confirm/contrast the aspect(s) of human nature you discussed above? In other words, how does the ending fit into the aspects of human nature you are identifying in the interactions between characters?
Your response should be a well-developed paragraph (at least 5-7 sentences). I will pay attention to grammar and mechanics as well as content, so make sure to answer in complete sentences and formulate a cohesive paragraph
