Distinguish and manage potential ethical and legal conflicts
in today’s hospitality industry
For this assignment, you will create a presentation that you
will present to a group of potential investors who have asked you to discuss
the legal ramifications (and other issues) of your business. You decide that
the best approach would be to put together a PowerPoint presentation to present
to the group.
In your presentation, first identify a business that you are
interested in, and introduce the company in your first presentation slide,
providing a brief background on that business. Then, address the following
issues as they relate to your business:
What potential legal concerns need
to be considered?
How will you manage risks that are
associated with the business?
What human resource considerations
do you need to address?
What government regulations does
your business need to consider?
How will you address issues of
ethics and social responsibility in your business?
Considering all of the above, how
will your business create and maintain a competitive advantage?
Deliverable Requirements
Your presentation should be no less than 15 slides in length,
including a Reference slide in APA format at the end of the presentation. For
the presentation portion, you must use speaker notes to provide the narrative
portion of your presentation.
Submitting your assignment in APA format means, at a minimum,
you will need the following:
Title slide: Remember
the running head. The title should be in all capitals.
Length: 15
slides minimum
Body slides: This
begins on the slide following the title slide and must be double-spaced
(be careful not to triple- or quadruple-space between paragraphs). The
typeface should be 12-pt. Times Roman or 12-pt. Courier in regular black
type. Do not use color, bold type, or italics, except as required for
APA-level headings and references. The deliverable length of the body of
your presentation for this assignment is 15 slides. In-body academic
citations to support your decisions and analysis are required. A variety
of academic sources is encouraged.
Reference slide: References
that align with your in-body academic sources are listed on the final
slide of your presentation. The references must be in APA format using
appropriate spacing, hanging indent, italics, and uppercase and lowercase
usage as appropriate for the type of resource used. Remember, the
Reference slide is not a bibliography but a further listing of the
abbreviated in-body citations used in the paper. Every referenced item
must have a corresponding in-body citation.
