Unit Report 2
Due: September 3 (in CourseDen Under assessments, under assignments)
Length: 2-4 pages (12pt. font, double spaced)
Content: Report should consist of the following sections:
Summary and evaluation of the resources (1 substantial paragraph). Here, you will articulate the most important lessons that you learned from the resources you read/watched during the unit (Mills; Yang; Head) and explain why these lessons matter.
Description of most relatable scene from the film Baraka (1 paragraph). Here, you will describe the scene that you deem most relatable in your own words. You should include an image (i.e., a screenshot) of the selected scene.
Reflection on the relation to your selected scene. (1 paragraph). Here, you will explain why you selected your chosen scene, and in so doing, will discuss how this scene relates to an experience that you have had. That is, you will discuss what you thought and felt while going through the experience you had that you think is connected to your chosen scene and discuss the thoughts and feelings you have had about the experience since it occurred.
Scholarly analysis (1 substantial paragraph). Here you will use information gained in the course (e.g., theories, concepts, terminology) to analyze the experience you related to your chosen scene. In so doing, you will demonstrate an applied understanding of the scholarly resources – showing that you comprehend the scholarly ideas well enough to relate them to your experience of the exercise. That is, you will analyze the experience that you related to your chosen scene through at least one of the theoretical lenses provided in the resources. In so doing, you will include citations of the sources you use.
