For this paper, you will:
o Provide fairy tale context. Describe and explain your favorite fairy tale. What happens in the story? Give me a summary so I know the story in case I’m not familiar with it.
o Give some relationship background. Explore the most important relationship within this fairy tale. Why is it important? What’s the nature of the relationship (romantic, familial, friendly, etc.)? How does this relationship affect the story?
o Identify and explain at least two reasons why this story has mattered in your life. Be sure these are different and separate reasons!
Some questions to ponder as you begin to work on this essay include:
· What fairy tales are you familiar with?
· What’s your favorite fairy tale? (Or at least one you know well enough to write about?)
· What characters matter within that fairy tale?
· What relationships matter in the story? Why?
· Which relationship matters most, draws you in, and helps you enjoy the story?
· What relationships most affect the outcome of the story?
· Why has this story been important to you?
· Is it important to you now for the same reason/s it was when you first heard it?
