Based on the history that prompted the Belmont Report and the WMA Declaration of Helsinki, and on the readings from class, do you think that (choose one):
research involving human (and/or animal) subjects can be ethical? or
conception to obtain human stem cells can be ethical?
Who should get to decide which are allowed and which are not?
Base your argument on an ethical framework (Deontology (Kant), Utilitarianism (Bentham), etc.) and the readings from class (or other reputable sources that you find), properly referencing all that you use. Use at least 3, preferably more. Consider the question from the simplest case (for example, using stem cells from a sibling conceived normally; questionnaires to willing human participants) to the most difficult (aborting a screened and matched fetus to obtain stem cells; high-risk drug of surgical tests on willing prisoners).
