In light of what you have learned about the resources required to care for a patient with a critical illness; think upon the experiences with high number of severe cases of COVID-19 in New York, Houston, and Miami and your own intrinsic moral and ethical values. How would you respond if faced with these decisions? Do you feel that rationing resources is moral and ethical? Remember nurses serve in a variety or roles and settings and as such are faced with decisions and teaching moments on a frequent basis.
