Problem: In the process of scanning the backlog of documents into the EHR, it became evident that there were many records already scanned in, and many more scanned in as a collective. For example, a cervical MRI report was scanned in as additional pages of a lumbar MRI report with no distinction made in the labelling of the scanned in document.
Purpose: this is a proposal for a workflow intended to aid medical record specialists to effectively scan documents into the system such that there is limited redundancy and to avoid inappropriate document compilations.
