please see learning guide. follow the exact intructions on it (attached below)
its a second assessment by name risk assessment of food additive and the my food additive is
CYCLAMATES
i have attached some files please use this .
TMDI and EDI spreadsheet is attached , calculation needed in it , need to make a diet chart where it need to explain n do calculation about CYCLAMATES in diet of that person( for reference any person)
read the table carefully before writing
Use these spreadsheets to set-up your calculation of TMDI and EDI.
TMDI calculation for target individual. This requires ANZ-Food Standards Code 1.3.1, Schedule 15 and 16. Plus ABS Australian Health Survey: Nutrition First Results (Table 5.1 Mean daily food intake).
If your additive has a GMP for MPL, then you also need industry or Codex recommendations for suggested usage levels.
EDI calculation – use actual amounts consumed in a typical serving for a typical diet containing this additive, over 7 day period. (Use serving size recommendations on food packets, 24hr recall surveys, food frequency surveys), create a diet that is reasonable for the target individual (provide gender, age, weight). Explain the background of this person in your discussion.
The italicised comments in these spreadsheets are to provide guidance on what you need to do. Remove these comments along with the worked examples and create your own data sets for your additive.
If you have GMP listed as your MLP, either for a few items in Schedule 15, or multiple items if your additive is listed in schedule 16.
Insert an additional separate column in the TMDI spreadsheet:
one column for FSANZ FSC permitted levels, list GMP or MPL as relevant for each line item.
another column for MPL mg/kg amounts to be used for the GMP, use appropriate sources, eg. Codex additive standards for relevant foods, journal or book publications on the suggested usage of your additive.
Use this alternate source to calculate your TMDI for those line items with GMP limits
Discuss this in the report and explain the assumptions you have made to produce the TMDI.
CALCULATION FOR TABLETOP SWEETENER
If your sweetener is permitted in tabletop sachets and tablets available for home use in tea and coffee, you can to calculate the amount of additive in a sachet or tablet to replace sugar (according to GMP guidelines)
You will need to obtain the weight a sachet or tablet.
Find out the sweetness equivalence of your non-nutritive sweetener
Calculate the MPL in the tablet or sachet to replace 1 teaspoon of sugar (4.5g sucrose) using the attached excel spreadsheet.
Calculations have also been provided to estimate the sweetener MPL to replace sucrose in sugar free drinks
