Addictive Substance Paper
For this assignment,

students will research and write about one
substance discussed in this course. Students should select a specific drug, not
a drug category.

This paper should outline the substance,
describe how the substance affects the brain (to include neurotransmitters
involved)
·
This paper should outline the substance,
describe how an individual presents when using and withdrawing from this
substance.
·
Additionally, this paper should include a
section on treatment approaches and medications used for treatment of the
specific substance.
·
A minimum of three (3) current, peer-reviewed
journal articles are required for this assignment.
·
Papers should not exceed five pages in length
(including the title and reference page). An abstract is not required.
·
Papers should strictly follow student submission
guidelines in the APA Manual, 7th edition.
