stewards of ethical patient care, nurses are responsible to appraise the
ethical obligations of the nurse’s role, as members of a profession, providers
of care, and as designers and managers of care. The nurse evaluates individual
healthcare scenarios, applying bioethics, grounded in the knowledge that
healthcare professionals must take on the responsibly (Butts & Rich, 2020).

Assignment Criteria:
The instructor
will assign student groups to present on one (1) of the following topics:

Develop a Power Point presentation
that includes the following criteria:

Introduce the
ethical issue
2.
Examine the ethical
issue as it relates to the following (include
all four (4) relational aspects):

Patient
c. Organization
d.
Society
3.
Compare and
contrast the positive/negative aspects of the issue
4.
Evaluate the
impact of the issue on the nursing profession
5.
Provide three (3) thought provoking
questions for class discussion
6.
The PowerPoint
presentation should not be more than 12 slides (excluding the title
slide and reference slide), no less than 10 slides, and presentation should be 15
minutes in length. Be complete and concise. Use bulleted statements not
complete sentences or paragraphs (complete sentences and or paragraph should be
added in the notes to be used during presentation).
Use APA format for PPT, which
always includes a title slide, a reference slide, and APA requirements.

A minimum of four (4)
references will be required for this assignment. References should be from
scholarly peer-reviewed journals (check Ulrich’s Periodical Directory)
and be less than five (5) years old. Your textbook may be used IN ADDITION to
the 4 professional peer-reviewed journal references to support the
presentation.
9. Divide
the presentation of the assignment equally among group members.
a. Each
group member will present contribution to the project.
b. Provide
a breakdown of each group member’s role and responsibility, determined by the
group, for the assignment to the faculty on the day of the presentation.
10. Provide
a 1-page summary (electronic) for each member of the class AND the
instructor(s) on the day of the presentation. (can be slide 16)
11. Provide
a hardcopy of the reference list to the instructor on the day of the presentation.
