Writing Assignment:
A paper on an Emerging Issue or Challenges pertaining to Leadership and/or Management in the Criminal Justicearena.
Write a paper that fully explores, explains and expands on the emerging discourse related on your choice in a topic related to leadership and management topics.
Expectation for the Paper: Write a ten-page paper with a minimum of ten (10) references – the majority of these sources must be from current (within 5 years), peer reviewed, scholarly journals. It must conform to the American Psychological Association (APA), as this is the most commonly used format for written works in our discipline. Per APA requirements, use of first person is not acceptable. The paper will have a cover sheet, which is not included in the 10 pages, and will not have a page number on it. Pages will be numbered starting at the page 2 (first page of the actual paper). The paper will have 1” margins, double-spaced with a 12 pt. New Times Roman font and paragraphs will be indented per APA style requirements. The paper will be uploaded into a “Turnitin” link established on the Blackboard for this class. In addition, the paper must be uploaded as a “Word” document, not as a PDF.
The sources should be composed of more recent articles from peer-reviewed journals and books.
Proper in-paper attributions, to include page numbers if appropriate, will conform to APA formatting standards.
All written assignments will be completed using APA formatting. They will have a title page (see model provided in BB) and “References” page(s), which do count towards total page count.
